Sleepy Party Animals

I decided to invite some of my colleagues round to my flat for a few drinks and some finger food. The Chinese girls told me they didn’t drink alcohol so I bought some very nice and expensive juices for them. However, on arrival they said they would like to try a bit of alcohol. This was good news and while Brett experimented with the different bottles in my cocktail cabinet, I plied the girls with alcohol.

An hour later when they decided they should all better go home because they felt ‘a bit dizzy’ I stopped from admitting the alcohol content of the drink I had been giving them and suggested it must have been something they had eaten. After all they had only had a Strawberry Daiquiri, Gin and Tonic as well as 3 shots of Bailey Irish Cream and Kahlua coffee liqueur. One of my Chinese guests (who shall remain nameless) managed to drink the equivalent of 5 shots of Bailey Irish cream and Coffee liqueur without realising it was alcoholic. She quickly regretted it in spectacular fashion!

Brett and I helped the three of them out of the flat and onto Huai Hai Zhong Lu where two of them made it as far as the IAPM Mall before succumbing to the inevitable effects of their earlier enthusiasm for ‘Baby Guinness’.

It’s lucky they have a day off tomorrow – I don’t think any of them would be in a fit state to work. It’s not really a fair game for a westerner, with years of drinking vast quantities of alcohol, to drink with Chinese girls. At least it’s cheap and by the time they had left there was still plenty of time to go out and paint the town red.
