I am trying not to venture out of the house during the hours of daylight if I can help it. It’s far too hot and sweaty. When I eventually emerge the whole place is dancing.
These people are dancing outside the library in the middle of town but everywhere you look in the evening there’s a big beat and people line dancing or watzing around in pairs. Where I live there’s watzing every evening and there can be anything up to 40 pairs of daners with a dozen or so of onlookers. I’m not sure whether people go there to meet a partner or whether they just go for a dance.
In this heat watzing around with a sweaty old Chinese bloke is the least appealing thing I can think of but there are plenty of women who do just that. I’m also not sure whether they actually pay to dance or whether the owner of the music is jst doing it out of civic duty. In this concrete jungle of high rises this sort of community activity is important.
